BAD SERVICE. no, really. really, really bad.
the man who runs this storage is awful to deal with for the following reasons:
-moves like a snail on crutches, ie: SO SLOWLY you will need to re-arrange your day. i had to on two separate occasions, eg: he went to photocopy our agreement - left the building - returned about a half hour later.
-creepy. this guy just plain creeped me out. there were people LIVING IN HIS STORAGE UNIT!
- VERY hard to drive the "helpful" carts around. bumps/ramps/ splits in the concrete floors.
-unsanitary. your stuff is held in by fences... that do not even reach the top of the ceiling. in the "area" next to mine i can clearly see: a 4-pack of syringe needles, blockbuster videos, and a flask. i pray that each time i visit my "unit" i will see my neighbor.
- i needed an emergency rental and this guy had "absolutely nothing left". i went to BURLINGTON SELF-STORAGE on route 7 (on the right if going south). not ONLY did doug give me a pro-rated daily deal for 10 days (instead of a whole month) but my storage unit was AIR CONDITIONED. and i could access it EVERY DAY, 24/7.
- did i mentioned that this guy at kilborn and gates is only open tues-sat, 9-5pm.. if you're lucky. he also likes to take vacations from may 23-28 (which was memorial weekend, but also the BUSIEST time of the year for people to be visiting their storage unit... the end of one's lease! what a f*cking idiot - so inconvenient.
basically: DO NOT USE KILBORN AND GATES. anything but kilborn and gates.
